At GigLoft, we’re fiercely dedicated to helping creatives turn their craft into sustainable, full-time freelance income. We love publishing success stories and struggles, learnings in business/freelancing/trades, and inspiring travel-related content!
Who gets the by-line?
You do, silly. Every time.
What if I’m not a writer?
Writing isn’t just for aspiring freelance writers! One of the best ways to position ourselves as experts in our field is to create valuable content on topics that relate to your freelance services. By contributing interesting written articles to credible publications, we build our thought leadership and show potential clients that we’re knowledgable and authoritative.
Whether you’re a designer, developer, sales professional, photo/videographer, or anything else—publishing written work will help you land bigger and better clients!
How to contribute to the GigLoft Experience
We accept content that meets our writing guidelines and covers our core topics. Please review that information before submitting pitches or full articles to editors@gigloft.com, and someone from our team will be in touch with you soon!
Writing guidelines
- Be interesting. The best writing is fundamentally rooted in exceptional thinking. Learn & respect the drafting process, and your work will stand out.
- Be error-free. If your piece is riddled with typos or grammatical errors, you can get bet it’s getting sent right back. Be professional, rewrite, and take pride in the work you send out.
- Be concise. “Trim the fat” of those extra words which are unnecessary to getting your point across!
- Start with a hook, and end with a call to action. The only articles people read are the ones that start with a captivating intro. The only articles that are effective in making change are the ones that end with a clear next step.
